The Phantom of the Opera

Made of WIN.

The $120 NZD ($65 USD) was so bloody worth the live stage show a few metres away from me. If you thought the 2004 movie was amazing (as I did), this was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G with capital letters.
I was sitting in the middle-middle of the theatre, and almost the entire time the chandelier was hanging right above my head.
And for those who don't know the story of this musical, the chandelier falls and crashes to the middle of the theatre. But W-O-W at the music and stage effects.
I came home, sat down at the computer, and am replaying the musical soundtracks and singing along to it. I remembered the entire script and the lyrics since years ago. I'm obsessed. I'm definitely going again when it comes to Auckland again in ten years' time.
What a great treat to myself to celebrate end of 2008 exams. If the show visits your way, make sure you throw in your money, and for the premium seats too. It's going to Perth after leaving Auckland at the end of the month. Again, made of WIN.
If and when I ever grow up

Living with the parents, I obviously (tend to) go with the family rules and habits. But there are so many little things I want to have when I can eventually have my independent life (let alone the big things like a mansion-apartment and Porsche). So if and when I ever "grow up", I shall get myself:
- Dispensable soap for the shower (I'm lazy)
- Dispensable shampoo for the shower (still lazy)
- Bubble baths
- Satin bathrobe
- Shower radio (I sound obsessed with shower comfort)
I'm sure I'd be coming up with more soon. But grr I want them now! *off to shower*
Law Ball 2008

I thought the theme for our Law ball this year sucked—"Ball of Zulu", a Safari theme. Not elegant and classy at all! But I must say, it turned out to be the best ball I've ever been to!
How it's different to the previous high school balls I've been to:
- All the girls were better dressed for some reason.
- No partner this year.
Don't have enough guy friends in law.
- Rather than looking at young, childish girls and boys, now it's maturer ladies and gentlemen.
- Our high school used to hold balls at the Auckland museum and the train station with bad-ass food. But the Law balls are sponsored by large law firms so we pay a lower price for a grand hotel and high quality food.
Three-course dinner beginning with the best smoked salmon entree I've ever had, moved on to an eye-fillet steak main, and finished with a luxurious dessert plate!
Best-dressed guy no doubt!
The gorrrrgeous girls of the night.
Indoors and outdoors!
And probably the best I've looked all year with my highly-complimented feather fascinator.
*is being vain and self-conceited*

First time I tried red lipstick all year and now I really like it. So I've moved on from the baby high school stuff, and uni is definitely better now. ![]()
Well except... When it comes to exams. I have lots of things to say, but I don't have the time to say, so if I blog any time more between now and 13 November, they'll have lots of phone camera pictures and little writing. No objections? And by that time I hope Obama would be the new controller of the world.
