If and when I ever grow up

27 October 2008, 5:30 pm. View comments. Filed under Miscellaneous, Personal.

Living with the parents, I obviously (tend to) go with the family rules and habits. But there are so many little things I want to have when I can eventually have my independent life (let alone the big things like a mansion-apartment and Porsche). So if and when I ever "grow up", I shall get myself:

I'm sure I'd be coming up with more soon. But grr I want them now! *off to shower*

    Hehe. This is cute! ^^

I'd like some of those stuff too, like a satin bathrobe.. by disposable soap you mean the kind where you pump the soap? Lol..

Maggie: Yep. Dispensable soap not disposable soap!

Dude, we have this dispenser attached to the wall of our shower - three compartments: shampoo, conditioner, soap. WIN. Feel free to fly to Melbourne to use ours. :P

Satin isn't very absorbent, you know...how about a nice thick terry one?

I agree. The dispensable soap and shampoo will be great, considering I'm lazy as well. :-P

I love all of those, except the satin robe. Those are cold, lol. I will take my terry cloth robe, lol.

As for your shower radio, may I warn you that they don't last long. Mine only lasted about three months, before it conked out. My suggestion would be to buy a cheap little radio to sit outside the shower, that is what I do.

I wish I had a brain and a motivation button that motivates me for 30mins at a time =)

.. and maybe a rubber ducky....

Ah but satin robes are teh sexay. You should all totally get one. Not for getting out of the shower and making yourself a hot cup of coffee and getting ready to read a book, but for wearing while putting on makeup to go out or something. The sensation of satin on your skin makes you feel pretty!

Sower radio? Isn't that dangerous? Electricity near water?

My comfort include... robes, the fluffy kind. I sooo love the feeling of them :) And I want a CEO type of leather computer chair. Mine's been through so much already. :(

Ah shower radio! I remember when I was a kid (back in the 80's, I feel so old!) we had a combined telephone, radio and toiletpaper holder thing in our bathroom. It looked kind of funny, but when I think back on it, it was kind of cool. You don't see that stuff these days ;)

I'm all for the bubble bath. There is nothing better then filling the tub on a cold night with hot water and nicely scented bubble bath and lighting a few candles. I usually take a good book with me and just relax! :)

I've always wanted satin bathrobes but for some reason, living at my parents house always make me not care about getting stuff like that until I move out. Same for cooking... I NEVER cook at home but I'm so excited at the thought of having my own kitchen soon so I can cook!

Why don't you just buy them then? I have no clue what Dispensable soap and shampoo is though :(

Tracy: like liquid soap and shampoo in one of those bottles with a head that you can press down and squeeze the stuff out! So you don't have to have to... pick it up with one hand, squeeze it (with more strength) into another hand. So troublesome! :o

Satin robe: parents would say too cold. Bubble baths: waste of water. Shower radio: "wtf?" ><

I remember when I first moved out into my first apartment it was great. The freedom that I had. I could have whatever I wanted in my apartment (within the constraints of my budget of course.

Ahh creature comforts... there's so many things I'm looking forward to getting for myself once I get my own place/my home becomes MY place. Dispensable products always handy, COMFY ROBES, ALWAYS A MUST! My parents would completely agree though - what a waste of money and wtf?! =P

mm... When I 'grow up' the first thing I'll get is a job so I can pay for all that sparkly stuff I want >.>

    oh... that ever elusive job...

Whut, you don't have bubble baths now?!! :|
but ooh, I definitely agree with the shower radio one, in fact, I'd like a whole bathroom with spa tub, surround sound stereo via remote... mmm...

argh, I've lost of my bubble bath privileges when I moved back to school accommodation. I will satin bathrobe for loungewear and nice warm white Egyptian cotton ones for bath. Definitely want a roomy bathroom where there's two power showers.
